The short answer

Quick answer

Antifrogen N is Clariant's ethylene glycol concentrate with an inhibitor free of nitrite, amine, borate, silicate and phosphate. Our Inhibited Ethylene Glycol 40/60, Nitrite-Free is a ready-to-use 40% premix with a nitrite-free sodium benzoate inhibitor: no nitrite, amine, borate or silicate, and phosphate only as a trace. It is an alternative with a different inhibitor package, not an identical fluid.

Questions

Is your nitrite-free ethylene glycol the same as Antifrogen N?

No. Both are nitrite-free ethylene glycol coolants, but Antifrogen N is a phosphate-free concentrate and ours is a ready-to-use 40% premix with a sodium benzoate inhibitor and a trace of phosphate. Check it against your system's fluid specification.

Can I top up an Antifrogen N loop with your coolant?

No. Do not mix inhibitor chemistries. Drain, flush with deionized water and refill.

Is it amine-free?

Yes. The SDS composition lists no amines.

Where does it ship from?

It is blended and shipped from Taylor, Texas, in pails, drums and 275- or 330-gallon IBC totes.
