Questions about shipping times

How are these times measured?

From every UPS Ground package we shipped out of Taylor, Texas over the period shown above the map: business days from the day UPS picked the package up to the day it was delivered, not counting weekends or UPS holidays. The number on each state is the median. The 90% figure is the day by which nine in ten deliveries had arrived. A small number of exceptions, such as address corrections and held packages that took more than ten business days, are left out. Freight figures come the same way from our LTL loads, grouped by region because a single state has too few loads to measure on its own.

Why might my ZIP code differ from my state?

Transit depends on the UPS hub that serves your area. Where we have at least 30 deliveries to ZIP codes starting with the same three digits, the ZIP check shows that area's own figure. Otherwise it shows the state's.

Can you guarantee a delivery date?

No. These are measured typical times, not a promise. Weather, carrier holidays and hazmat handling can add a day. Your tracking number is emailed when the order ships.

Which carrier will ship my order?

Parcels ship UPS Ground: bottles, jugs and up to three pails. Four or more pails, drums and totes ship LTL freight with ABF, FedEx Freight, R+L, Saia, Southeastern or XPO. Central Texas orders can go on our own truck.

Do state rules ever override the DOT rules?

Yes. Some states and cities add their own restrictions on specific chemicals, such as certain acids, concentrated peroxides and controlled precursors. They do not change the DOT classification, but they can block shipment to some ZIP codes. If you are not sure about your ZIP code, call us before you order.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada?

Yes, by quote. Orders to Alaska and Hawaii go by air, LTL freight or special logistics. Canada goes cross-border by UPS or LTL freight. Send the product, size and destination and we price the order and the freight together.

Have a shipping question?
