Deionized Water
Deionized Water is a type of purified water with mineral ions (salts) removed. These ions include sodium, calcium, iron, copper, and anions such as chloride and bromide. Deionization is a physical process that uses specially-manufactured ion exchange resins which bind to and filter out the mineral salts from water.
While Deionized Water is not a hazardous compound, it is advised to avoid direct skin or eye contact. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling. Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances.
Deionized Water is an excellent conductor of heat, highly beneficial for cooling applications. Its purity also renders it ideal for high-grade cleaning and preparation of solutions in critical environments.
