Potassium hydroxide 45% solution — commonly called caustic potash or liquid KOH — supplied ready to use as a clear, colorless, strongly alkaline liquid at 45% w/w. No dissolving, no heat of solution to manage, no handling of flake or pellets.
45% is the workhorse concentration for liquid caustic potash. It stays fluid at normal storage temperatures, and it is the concentration most commonly specified where a carbonate-free alkali source is called for.
Typical applications
- Alkaline cleaning, degreasing, and CIP formulations
- pH adjustment and alkalinity control
- Biodiesel transesterification catalyst
- Liquid soap and potassium soap manufacture
- Electroless plating and metal surface treatment
