Overview
Hydrobromic acid (HBr), CAS 10035-10-6, is an aqueous solution of hydrogen bromide and one of the strongest common mineral acids — stronger than hydrochloric acid. It is typically supplied as a ~48% w/w solution: a colorless to pale-yellow, fuming, highly corrosive liquid used to manufacture bromide salts and organobromine compounds.
