Solubility is high: greater than or equal to 100 mg/mL at 70 °F. Vapor pressure is low — 0.08 mmHg at 68 °F, rising to 0.13 mmHg at 77 °F — meaning minimal evaporative loss under normal ambient conditions, a practical advantage in open-top mixing and transfer operations.

Handling & Storage
Propylene glycol is not classified as hazardous under GHS based on available data (per the product's GHS classification). No signal word, pictograms, or hazard statements are assigned. That said, standard industrial hygiene applies: wear chemical-resistant gloves and safety goggles during transfer and mixing. The liquid is viscous at room temperature and slippery on hard floors — contain spills promptly.
Store in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. HDPE drums, IBC totes, and glass containers are compatible. Keep containers sealed to prevent moisture absorption — propylene glycol is hygroscopic and will draw water from ambient air, which changes the effective concentration. Avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents and strong acids. Maintain adequate ventilation in enclosed storage areas, though vapor pressure is low enough that significant vapor accumulation under normal conditions is unlikely.
The product is thermally stable under normal storage conditions. No special temperature-controlled storage is required for the neat glycol, but avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above 150 °F, which can accelerate oxidative degradation and deplete the inhibitor package.
