Hydrogen Peroxide 12% Technical Grade
Hydrogen Peroxide 12% Technical Grade is a high-purity liquid oxidizer formulated for demanding industrial applications. Commonly referred to as H2O2 or simply Peroxide, this solution offers a versatile balance of oxidative strength and handling stability. With an available oxygen content typically in the range of 11.5–12.5%, it serves as a critical reagent in chemical synthesis, wastewater treatment, and manufacturing processes.
This technical-grade formulation is characterized by a specific gravity of approximately 1.11 at 20°C and strict limits on trace metals, ensuring consistent reaction rates in sensitive workflows. It is widely utilized for its ability to modify contaminants through oxidation and serves as an effective bleaching agent in textile and paper industries. Alliance Chemical provides this product in a variety of pack sizes to support operations ranging from bench-scale research to full-scale plant production.
Hydrogen Peroxide 12% is a strong oxidizer and must be handled with care. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and incompatible materials such as organic compounds, reducing agents, and combustibles. Use only compatible containers, such as HDPE or passivated glass, to prevent catalytic decomposition.
Operators should wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves, splash goggles, and protective clothing to prevent skin and eye contact. In the event of exposure, rinse immediately with copious amounts of water. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for comprehensive hazard information and emergency response procedures. This product is regulated as a hazardous material for transportation (UN 2014, Class 5.1).
