100% Propylene Glycol Inhibited
100% Propylene Glycol Inhibited is a concentrated, heat transfer fluid engineered for demanding industrial thermal applications. Also known as inhibited MPG or Propane-1,2-diol, this formulation combines high-purity glycol with a specialized inhibitor package designed to prevent corrosion, scale, and fouling in metal piping systems.
Unlike standard uninhibited glycols, this product is specifically optimized for closed-loop water systems, HVAC units, and industrial chillers. It provides exceptional freeze protection and burst protection while maintaining efficient heat transfer properties. The inhibitor package stabilizes pH and passivates metal surfaces, significantly extending the service life of equipment compared to plain water or uninhibited glycol solutions. It is compatible with most standard piping materials used in industrial temperature control.
Store 100% Propylene Glycol Inhibited in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use to prevent moisture absorption (hygroscopic). While Propylene Glycol typically carries a low toxicity profile, standard industrial hygiene practices should be observed.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and chemical-resistant gloves, when handling bulk quantities. Avoid prolonged contact with skin or eyes. In case of spills, contain with inert absorbent material and dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed handling and emergency procedures.
Corrosion Protection – Contains inhibitors to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals in cooling loops.
High Thermal Efficiency – Excellent heat capacity and thermal conductivity for system performance.
Freeze Defense – Depresses freezing point significantly to prevent system damage in sub-zero environments.
