Phosphoric Acid 75% USP Food Grade
Phosphoric Acid 75% USP Food Grade is a high-purity, colorless, and odorless liquid solution commonly known as Orthophosphoric Acid (H3PO4). Formulated at a 75% concentration, this weak acid offers precise acidity management for demanding industrial and food processing applications. It strictly meets USP-NF monograph specifications, ensuring low impurity levels suitable for use as an acidulant, pH adjuster, and sequestrant in food and beverage production.
Beyond food science, Phosphoric Acid 75% is a versatile chemical intermediate used in metal treatment, agriculture, and chemical manufacturing. It serves as a highly effective rust converter and metal etching agent in industrial settings. Its miscibility with water and consistent specific gravity make it a reliable choice for engineers and purchasing agents requiring a stable source of acidity for hydroponics, cleaning formulations, and buffering systems.
Phosphoric Acid is corrosive and must be handled with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves, goggles, and face shields. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible materials such as strong bases and active metals. Use high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or 316 stainless steel for storage.
In the event of skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed handling, disposal, and emergency procedures. This product is regulated as UN 1805, Phosphoric acid, solution, Class 8, PG III.
USP Food Grade Purity – Meets strict standards for use in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing.
Versatile Acidulant – Provides consistent pH control for manufacturing, brewing, and hydroponic systems.
Effective Rust Removal – Converts rust and prepares steel surfaces for painting without mechanical sanding.
Bulk Availability – Stocked in sizes ranging from 1 Quart to 330 Gallon totes to support operations of all scales.
