Nitric Acid 5% is a dilute aqueous solution of nitric acid (HNO₃), also known historically as Aqua Fortis. This Reagent Grade formulation is designed for applications requiring controlled oxidizing strength without the extreme corrosivity of concentrated grades. The solution is a clear, colorless liquid with a density of approximately 1.005 g/mL at 25°C.

Manufactured to meet ACS Reagent Grade standards, this product features a tight assay specification (4.8–5.2%) and strict impurity controls. It is fully miscible in water and provides predictable performance for analytical, preparative, and manufacturing processes.
